By accessing and using Archetype ("the Service"), operated by Archetype, Inc., a Delaware corporation ("Archetype", "we", "us", or "our"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
Age Requirement: You must be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is greater, to use this Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you may not create an account or use the Service in any way.
Archetype provides facial analysis and beauty assessments based on facial ratios and algorithmic calculations. While we strive to make our assessments as objective as possible through scientific measurements and established aesthetic principles, beauty inherently contains subjective elements, and our analysis should be viewed as informational guidance rather than absolute truth.
Our Service may present information about potential options, procedures, or improvements that are recognized to address certain facial features or measurements. This information is provided for informational purposes only to assist in your decision-making process.
Such information is NOT medical advice, professional medical opinions, recommendations, or directives. We do not tell you what to do or make any claims about what you should do. All decisions regarding cosmetic procedures, medical treatments, or any actions taken based on our analysis are solely your responsibility. Archetype and its operators assume no liability for any decisions, actions, outcomes, or consequences resulting from the use of this Service or reliance on its analysis results, presented options, or informational content.
Do not attempt intentional facial trauma, self-injury, do-it-yourself procedures, prescription treatments, injections, or other physical interventions based on the Service. Any medical, cosmetic, orthodontic, dermatologic, surgical, or injury-related question should be discussed with a qualified licensed professional.
Archetype is a facial measurement and analysis platform that calculates facial ratios, symmetry, and proportions based on user-provided photos. The Service provides scores, measurements, insights, and related tools through interactive facial analysis features.
The surgical and medical procedure information provided through "Your Plan" (Action Plan) and "Your Potential" features is strictly for informational and educational purposes only. This content:
Archetype does not provide protocols for causing trauma, bone remodeling, scar tissue formation, or other biological changes. Any content discussing anatomy, facial development, or cosmetic options is educational only and must not be used as a substitute for professional care.
The accuracy of all information, treatment options, and projected scores in the Service is directly dependent on the accuracy of the facial image landmarks. Inaccurate alignment or photo angles may result in incorrect facial ratio calculations, misleading options, or irrelevant information. You are solely responsible for ensuring accurate photo alignment.
By using the Service and agreeing to these Terms, you acknowledge and consent to the following: Archetype may use data collected through the Service — including but not limited to uploaded facial images, facial measurements, landmark data, analysis inputs and outputs, and derived metrics — to internally train, develop, improve, and refine our proprietary machine learning models, algorithms, analysis tools, and the Service generally.
Data used for model training may be de-identified or aggregated where technically feasible, but we reserve the right to use the data in its original form when necessary for training accuracy and model improvement. Trained models may incorporate patterns, features, and statistical learnings derived from your data, and such models are the exclusive intellectual property of Archetype, Inc.
Data deletion and model training: If you delete your account (including through account settings) or request deletion of your account and data, we will delete your personal data. However, you acknowledge that to the extent your data has already been used to train models prior to your deletion request, it is not technically feasible to remove the influence of individual data points from trained model weights. Deletion of your account data does not require us to retrain or modify any models that were developed using your data prior to the deletion request.
Billing Intervals: Subscriptions are available on monthly and yearly billing cycles. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method at the start of each billing period.
Refund Policy: We offer a 14-day refund period for new subscriptions, provided that you have not used the Service. "Use of the Service" is defined as generating at least one facial analysis. If you have not generated any analyses within 14 days of your purchase, you are eligible for a full refund. After 14 days, or once you have generated your first analysis, all payments are final and non-refundable. No partial or prorated refunds are available for unused portions of billing periods.
Free Trials: If you sign up for a free trial (typically 3 days), your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription at the then-current rate unless you cancel before the trial ends. Refund requests for subscriptions that originated from free trials are handled on a case-by-case basis at our sole discretion, and will be denied if you actively generated analyses during the trial.
Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, you will continue to have access to the Service until the end of your current billing period.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ARCHETYPE AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO EMOTIONAL DISTRESS, DECISIONS MADE BASED ON ANALYSIS RESULTS, OR COSMETIC AND MEDICAL PROCEDURES YOU CHOOSE TO UNDERGO.
YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR CONSULTING QUALIFIED PROFESSIONALS BEFORE MAKING HEALTH, MEDICAL, COSMETIC, FITNESS, DENTAL, OR BODY-MODIFICATION DECISIONS. THE SERVICE DOES NOT GUARANTEE ANY PHYSICAL, AESTHETIC, MEDICAL, OR COSMETIC OUTCOME.
These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be resolved by binding arbitration in Wilmington, Delaware.
CLASS ACTION WAIVER: You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration against Archetype, Inc.
